Last week, I was once again extremely privileged to get the chance to play at one of my favourite wedding venues, Smeetham Hall Barn in Suffolk.
My clients (newly-weds Karly & Dylan) opted for a variation on the Ultimate Package option, choosing the white DJ booth and towers, whole room uplighting in rose pink and simple uplighting of the rear wall instead of a star curtain. As Smeetham Hall is such a large, airy historic barn, I was able to use subtle haze to accentuate the effect lighting after dark, and the starballs in particular looked truly amazing.
The music tastes of the ensembled guests was quite varied, I played gems from Motown, the 80’s and modern pop to keep the floor buzzing all night long! Despite a coach taking half of the guests away at 11.20pm(!) we managed to finish on a big high just before midnight with a traditional send-off for the new happy couple.
With my hand on heart, I can definitely recommend this fabulous venue if you’re looking for a characterful barn with picturesque views and exclusivity for the day.
