Hello World!
Oh boy….it seems like a year since I was last talking about the life of a DJ….hang on a minute, it was a year! A whole year without doing the job I’ve loved best, a whole year of no dancing, no mixing, no fun! Netflix and Zoom were scant consolation for a world without parties.
But we’re back. as strong as ever, still taking bookings for weddings, birthdays, engagement parties and quiz shows. And speaking of quiz shows, that has been my one saviour (both financially and mentally!) during those dark, difficult times. I hosted dozens of online quiz shows for big corporations, education authorities and even a zoo!
Also during lockdown, I undertook something I always vowed never to do….radio! A good friend asked me to host a regular show on his brand new station, launched in October 2020 – www.revengefm.com – after my initial doubts, I’m very happy to say that I created The Ol’ Soul Shack Show, every Sunday from 5pm til 6pm. I get to play my favourite soul classics from the 60s to current day, and include a few surprises along the way. And even I’m surprised at how much I’m enjoying it!
