With over sixteen years of top-flight wedding reception experience at the Orsett Hall Hotel, coupled with working at prestigious London, Essex and Hertfordshire hotels (too numerous to mention here), you will be in very safe and professional hands. We understand the wedding etiquette, the value of presentation and all the trimmings a classy wedding reception requires from a professional entertainer.
Surprisingly, the evening entertainment is often the most prolonged service of the whole wedding day, lasting anything from four to seven hours, and for just an average cost of 5% of the whole wedding budget. Not a huge percentage by comparison with other providers, so can you afford to make the mistake of booking your DJ on price alone? We hear all the horror stories after the event, which by then is sadly too late!

Firstly, you may want to put a face to the voice at the end of the phone, and to discuss your music preferences and time-scales for the big day. We’re always willing to meet you both and introduce ourselves, chat about the whole DJ service and reassure you with any queries you may have. We have covered so many wedding receptions that we also have a great network of trusted suppliers in all areas of the wedding business, so if you’re stuck on who to choose for photographs, balloons, video or even a toastmaster, speak to us!

Your Wedding Reception DJ – The Big Day Itself…
On the day, we will arrive in good time to set up the disco equipment. This normally takes around 30-60 minutes depending on equipment requirements, access to the venue, etc. In some cases the disco equipment can be set up before the Wedding Breakfast is served (this will need to be pre-arranged and may incur extra charges). The actual DJ equipment footprint is fairly modest in size but very neat and, of course, top quality!
Based on our most popular service, the music starts around 7.45pm, just subtle background noises to begin with whilst the evening guests filter in and mingle. When you and your new spouse are ready, we will announce you to the floor for your First Dance (recommended around 8.30pm), and following that, the wedding disco begins!
As with most wedding discos (and there really are very few exceptions), a wide range of genres are covered during the evening to keep everyone happy. We specialise in the more modern approach (i.e. avoiding Jive Bunny and megamixes).
Fantastic sets of 80′s Skool Disco, club classics from the 70′s to the 00′s, a sprinkling of cheesy yet tasteful pop and incorporating your personal choices – your biggest day will be celebrated with the finest music.
It’s all rounded off with a traditional huge group hug at the end of the evening, a chance to say goodbye to everyone in style!
Of course everyone has their own ideas of how a wedding reception party should run, but we feel that after 20 years of valuable experience at the controls, we’ve pretty much nailed it!
