Essex Wedding DJ & Mobile Wedding Disco

Wedding DJ Essex Kent London & Herts - A First Class Service
Arranging a wedding and the reception afterwards can be a stressful affair, but one service that is often overlooked and considered less important than even the table decorations is the Wedding DJ !
The truth is the Wedding DJ provides one of the most sustained services you’ll receive on your big day, taking up around four to five hours. The Wedding Disco the main feature for all of your evening wedding guests who have missed the pomp and ceremony of the day’s events. Did you know that from the wedding budget, an average of just 5% is spent on the entertainment? So you need to be sure that your mobile DJ is both professional and experienced...
Ian Scott has played wedding receptions almost non-stop since 1993, when he joined Orsett Hall hotel in Essex as a resident DJ. The hotel being one of the major Essex wedding venues meant that Ian gained fantastic experience in the whole wedding etiquette and presentation field, having been the DJ for over 400 wedding parties. Ian has also worked at some of the finest hotels and venues around the South East including Stoke Park Club, Five Lakes, Stockbrook Manor and Alexandra Palace to name just a few…..
The fact that Ian has remained the number one resident wedding DJ at Orsett Hall in Essex for thirteen years is recommendation itself of the quality and entertaining service he provides.
And Ian is not just an Essex Wedding DJ. He has taken his set-up as far south as Portsmouth and as far north as Leeds for wedding receptions, so this professional is prepared to travel! In fact, he won’t be a wedding DJ in Essex at all for the very early part of 2009 – he has a reception to play in Sydney!
So, your wedding day arrives….and what service do you get?
Well, firstly Ian will arrive in good time to set up the disco equipment. This normally takes around 30-45 minutes depending on the access to the venue, and in some cases the disco equipment can be set up before the Wedding Breakfast is served (this will need to be pre-arranged). The actual DJ equipment layout is fairly modest in size compared to some, but very neat and tidy.
Usually the music starts around 7.30pm, just subtle background noises to begin with whilst the evening guests filter in and mingle. Ian will then announce the happy couple to the floor for their First Dance around 8.00-8.30pm, and after that…the wedding disco begins!
As with all wedding discos (and there really are very few exceptions), a wide range of genres are covered during the evening to keep everyone happy. Ian specialises in the more modern approach (i.e. avoiding Jive Bunny and Black Lace!) and with fantastic sets of 80’s Skool Disco, club classics from the 70’s to the 00’s and a sprinkling of cheesy yet tasteful pop, your biggest day will be celebrated in style!
It’s all rounded off with the huge send-off at the very end of the evening, bringing everyone together for one last manic goodbye!
