Ian Scott has been a professional mobile DJ for over 18 years. His reputation has been built on reliability, flexibility, quality and style.
From nightclub beginnings he now plays at some of the top wedding reception venues in Essex, Kent and the South East.

Ian is also the longest-serving resident DJ at the Orsett Hall Hotel in Essex, and despite the sad demise of the original building in a blaze in May 2007, Ian will be there again when the hotel is rebuilt in late 2008.

To Ian, the most important thing about a mobile DJ is not their sound system, their lighting rig or their designer suit….it’s what they play next that matters most. Quite simply their music choice and continuity are the most important aspects of the job. Ian knows how to work the dance floor to maximum effect …combining vast music knowledge of all styles with a fresh and funky approach. Unlike some other mobile DJs, he doesn’t subscribe to ‘genre-hopping’ and big tempo changes after each track (the continuity bit…) and always avoids playing badly dated and really corny party records (the music choice bit…)

Currently Ian carries around 8,000 records in his digital music library, with the ability to access any track within seconds. Most genres are included, and the whole library is updated and re-assessed weekly.
In short, Ian really knows his music!

A mobile DJ’s use of the microphone is important too. Far too much talking simply annoys the crowd and too little leaves them uninformed and detached. As a vocalist and a compere, Ian knows the rules and always strikes the perfect professional balance!
